I've finally been able to combine 2 blogs into 1 which leaves me to only needing to access 2 places at any given time.

8 months and Teething - Finally!

Poor Delaney has had quite the last two weeks. First a terrible stomach bug which required lots of changes, diaper cream and snuggles all through the night. Then, a fever spike to 103 which sent us on a late night Pedialyte run and to the doctor's office the following morning only to be told that she's absolutely fine. That day, we thought, perhaps, it was a nasty little cold coming on with a snotty nose and all - turns out, it too, was nada.

With a "just fine" diagnosis, we thought the late night crying fiascos were a part of our parental training on separation anxiety so we resorted to a few nights of CIO which were going just OK. And then Sunday morning comes along. As Delaney and I were playing in the nursery (her new favorite game is to hang backwards and upsidedown), I noticed a big hole in the upper left part of her gums. Sure as shootin' - it's an eye tooth! And now, we feel awful for letting her CIO.

Let this be a lesson that I should trust my instincts and trust my daughter. She's normally a pretty laid back kiddo - especially at night. We may have a few boughts of lost sleep but only unless she really needs something. This time was no different.

What an odd tooth to come in first! Actually, I think the bottom right eye tooth is not far behind. I blame these teeth on Mr. Darby Sues who chooses to kiss the daylights out of her. God Bless the child if she turns out with a snaggletooth ridden mouth like a little black pug! Unfortuantely, she won't let me get close enough with a camera to take a picture.

7 month Post in Pictures

Check out those cheeks!

Summer time fun at the Bay

This is how we bond, play and get stuff done when I get home from work and on the weekends. Delaney loves piggy back rides and I get a good pregnancy workout :). One of her favorite activities is stripping the bed because we bounce as much as possible to get the job done.

Already taking after daddy - playing the drums!

Our first away game on TV. I won't let her watch cartoons but allow a 3 hour football game. Priorities...

7 month stats

We measured Delaney today.

Height: 30 inches long (110%)
Weight: 21lbs (95%)
Head: 17.5inches (85%)

At this rate, she'll be 6' tall! Wendy and I went to BRU tonight to look at convertible car seats. She's way too heavy for me to tote around in her Chicco now so we're off to bigger things. The Britax looks waaaaay uncomfy. She was most happy in the Triumph DLX. We may go to BBB to see if they have the others that were highly rated as well. I was a little disappointed with BRU.

Not only is she now officially crawling with 1 week to go until she's 8mos, she finally said "MA MA"!!! It was only twice, and I had my back turned, but I can't believe it! She's been calling me da da da for weeks now :(. Of course, I think it was totally on accident but I'll take it. I turned around, ran to her crib, cheered her on and said "Yes, I'm momma" (signing it as well). My heart melted. And as soon as the tears rolled, she says "DA DA," with a big smile.

::SIGH::

I'll take it as a small but mighty win :).
